The bulk of my classical training took place at the Aegean Center for the Arts in Paros, Greece and Pistoia, Italy. Between 2007 and 2009, I studied with John and Jane Pack as well as Jeffrey and Liz Carson. It was in this program that I caught a glimpse into Classical and Renaissance thought and expression. I also saw with greater clarity how little I knew. Below, there is a short video about the Italian Session at the Aegean Center.
When I returned to the states I wanted to improve my drawing. I attended classes at the Art Students League and Grand Central Academy. Although not a full time student, I took classes at night and on weekends. I studied from Bargue plates, in the cast hall and from the figure. Here are a few pieces made during this time.
